Many children have a Nintendo game set and I am sure that those who do have one are familiar with the video game the Legend of Zelda where the hero of the game is a young boy named Link who is on a quest to defeat the monster Gannon who has put Princess Zelda to sleep and has taken over her land and ruled ruthlessly over Zelda’s people. The Nintendo game consists of both outside scenes and labyrinths with all kinds of demons who are for Gannon and Link has to defeat these demons and gain an object that can inflict harm on Gannon and break the spell he has cast on Zelda.
Taking Zelda out of the Nintendo and out to the playground
What is great of quest games, like the Legend of Zelda, is that they can easily be taken out into the playground and the children can run around and chase each other around, have fun, and get their much needed exercise. The object of the game should be similar to that of the video game. The game should be played in a large park or a large backyard.
