This is a fantastic activity for letting your imagination get truly Freaky. You’re going to design and make your own planet diorama so it’s a case of the wilder (and Freakier) the better. The universe is such a big place that you can come up with whatever crazy ideas you like and nobody’s going to be able to tell you that you’re being silly – there may well be a planet out there somewhere just like the one you come up with. If you’d like to do the Alien Design activity doing this one first might help to get your imaginative juices flowing when it comes to making your aliens.
